• Profile information you choose to share, such as your age, location, education, practice level, marital history, and what you’re looking for in a spouse.
• For female members, a guardian (wali) contact name and phone number, submitted as part of your profile.
• Messages you send us directly, such as support requests sent to info@deenmatch.org.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as device and browser type, general (non-precise) location inferred from IP address, pages viewed, and referring pages. This site uses Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-respecting traffic measurement, which does not rely on cookies or track you individually across other websites.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and profile.
• Operate the platform’s core mechanics: matching, expressing interest, and, once interest is mutually accepted, contact reveal requests.
• Review and moderate profiles before they become visible to other members.
• Contact a guardian on your behalf, but only after mutual interest has been accepted and you have approved that specific reveal request.
• Respond to support requests and communicate service-related updates.
• Maintain the security, integrity, and safety of the Service, including detecting fraud, abuse, and fake profiles.
• Understand aggregate usage of this website so we can improve it.

We do not use your information to serve third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. How Information Is Shared

Profile information is only visible to other members within the segregated, gender- appropriate part of the platform, and only after your profile has passed moderation review. By default, your real name is masked and no photo is shown to anyone you haven’t connected with yet.

A guardian’s contact details are kept private and are shared with another member only after (a) both members have mutually accepted an interest, and (b) you have separately approved that specific request to reveal contact information. A guardian is never given platform login access, and is never contacted before that point.

We may also share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and analytics providers), each bound to use it only to perform services on our behalf, or when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your profile and guardian contact information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can review and update most of your profile information directly within your account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us any question about this policy, by emailing info@deenmatch.org. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults seeking marriage and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
